Honestly, I am surprised it took this long to happen.
Thankfully, no people were aboard when Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin’s experienced its first mishap.
On Monday, after a delayed launch, the rocket blew up only a minute into its flight.
The Good News…
Obviously, this is not a good thing, but we are here to make lemonade out of lemons today.
My biggest fear about these private space programs is that sooner or later, there is bound to be a tragedy.
The good news is that even though the launch failed, the safety measures in place to prevent the actual capsule from exploding worked perfectly.
The launch video is below, but watch carefully what happens when the rocket malfunctions and starts to explode…
That is actually pretty amazing that they have been able to work in the technology that can separate the capsule so quickly.
On this launch, they were only carrying supplies for experiments.
This was the 23rd mission for the program and the ninth time this capsule and rocket were paired together.
In all, Bezos has flown 31 people into space.
My only question now is how low the price will drop for paying customers now that they have seen one of his rockets explode.
