Donald Trump’s case in New York fell in front of the wrong judge.
While we have yet to see anything of significance come from the suits against Trump in New York, he just got crushed by a recent ruling.
New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron has smacked Trump with a $10,000 per day contempt charge until he turns over documents New York Attorney General Letitia James has requested.
Pay Up
A previous order had been issued for Donald Trump to turn over business documentation that James’ office had requested.
Trump has not yet complied with that order.
Three weeks ago, with there being no attempt by Trump to work out the details for turning over the documentation, James went back to court.
Her office filed a motion to hold Trump in contempt.
Judge Engoron, in delivering the judgment against Trump, stated, “Mr. Trump, I know you take your business seriously, and I take mine seriously. I hereby hold you in civil contempt and fine you $10,000 a day.”
The initial ruling required all documents to be handed over by March 31.
Trump’s attorneys did not object to that at the time, but later brought objections up and refused to turn over the documentation.

Trump’s attorneys are saying that James is barking up the wrong tree; that she needs to get the documentation from the Trump Organization, not from Trump personally.
Trump, on the investigation, stated, “I’ve been investigated by the Democrats more than Billy the Kid, Jesse James, and Al Capone, combined. This has been going on for years, and in all cases, I have been innocent.
“Numerous people have said to me, ‘You must be the cleanest person alive. Nobody else could have survived this.'”
With $10k on the line every day now, it will be interesting to see if Trump continues to fight or turns over the requested documentation.
