There is only one thing that will keep Donald Trump from running for office in 2024, in my opinion, and that is legal problems.
If Trump faces serious charges related to his business or January 6, it would more than likely stop him dead in his tracks.
Judge David Carter may have just put that obstacle in Trump’s way.

The one significant problem we have seen in recent years in our judiciary is the saturation of ideology over law.
That is the question that has to be answered here.
Clinton appointed Judge Carter, so we knew this case would not fall in favor of Trump before it ever started.
The verbiage used in Carter’s ruling, in this case, was just as inflammatory as anything we have heard from either side of this argument.
He stated, “Their campaign was not confined to the ivory tower — it was a coup in search of a legal theory.”
He continued that if that plan “had worked, it would have permanently ended the peaceful transition of power, undermining American democracy and the Constitution.
“If the country does not commit to investigating and pursuing accountability for those responsible, the Court fears January 6 will repeat itself.”
As a judge, Carter should know definitively if Trump broke the law, but his statement regarding this seems like it was more to get headlines than anything else to fry Trump in the court of public opinion.
Judge Carter stated that Trump likely broke the law, but he would not commit to saying there was definitive proof, which would be because he doesn’t have that proof.
This is dangerous language for a judge to use, especially with the stakes so high right now.
