Joe Biden finally sacked up and said something about Vladimir Putin that we can all agree upon.
Biden got hit with a question about Putin being a war criminal.
He answered in the affirmative, and Russia did not take it kindly.
Escalating
Other than the very tempered official statements from the White House, this administration has been very careful about not upsetting Putin.
Biden’s biggest fear right now is that one action could wind up putting us into World War III.
Joe may have just nudged us a little closer after answering a question by a reporter while leaving an event…
After he made those comments, Russia immediately responded.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated, “We consider unacceptable and unforgivable such rhetoric of the head of state, whose bombs killed hundreds of thousands of people around the world.”
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki immediately tried to temper the comments made by Biden.
She stated, “He was speaking from his heart and speaking from what we’ve seen on television, which is barbaric actions by a brutal dictator through his invasion of a foreign country.”
She also stated that the State Department is still investigating Putin’s action and going through the “legal process” of determining if Putin is actually a war criminal.
I am not sure what additional proof is needed.
Putin has been using illegal weapons, he has targeted hospitals and schools, and his soldiers are now apparently executing civilians in the streets.
Putin, his generals, and many of his troops are war criminals… of that there is no doubt.
