Donald Trump does not like to be crossed, and it would appear this is what is about to happen in about two weeks.
It was leaked this week that Nikki Haley, Donald Trump’s former UN Ambassador, is going to run for president.
Haley is expected to announce her candidacy on February 15 in South Carolina.
Game On
Trump has a one-way street when it comes to stuff like this and he always has.
He says he deems loyalty above all else but that is as long as that loyalty benefits him.
Once you are no longer of use, he will dump all over you.
Look at what he is saying about Ron DeSantis right now, someone that has supported Trump throughout his political career and has not even announced yet.
Imagine if Trump had actually reached out to DeSantis and formed an alliance with the man rather than calling him RINO Ron and Ron DeSantimonious.
Quite frankly, it’s childish and I believe it is starting to drive even Trump’s most die-hard supporters away.
Now Nikki Haley is going to put her hat into the ring.
Haley stated that she had actually talked to Trump about this and he told her to go with her heart… if she wanted to run, run.
However, in the very next sentence when he was talking to the media, he pointed to an April 2021 comment where Haley said she would not run as long as Trump was in the race, that was a “conversation” that she would need to have with him.
There are only two reasons that Trump has not yet completely lost his sh** on Haley at this point.
First, he does not deem her to be a serious threat at this point, so that could change rather quickly.
Two, Trump knows the bigger the field, the more chance he has of taking the nomination.
There could even be a deal brewing between these two that Haley runs to take votes away from DeSantis in exchange for a VP or Secretary of State position.
For now, all we know is that in about two weeks, the GOP Race will officially have two candidates running.
