Earlier this week, an absolutely horrifying and heartbreaking story broke out of Florida.
According to local reports, a man killed his two children related to a domestic incident.
Then, he turned the gun on himself.
Murder-Suicide
The incident happened in a suburb of Miami.
Police stated that it appeared the man had a domestic dispute of some sorts.
The man, now identified as Humberto Tovar, ended up shooting his 12-year-old girl and 9-year-old son.
He spared his wife’s life, but she more than likely watched the horror play out before her eyes.
Other than that, details of how this all got started remains a mystery.
It is tough to imagine how this woman will be able live a normal life after this, seeing her entire family wiped out before her eyes.
Shooting occurred at the Miami Lakes apartment complex.
The man had just shared a picture of himself with his two children only hours before the fatal event.
A nearby neighbor stated heard the screams of the mother and tried to help.
She stated, “I just opened the door, and I ran.
“My son ran behind me. He didn’t even have shoes.
“I ran across the grass, and when I got there I saw the lady like on top of the little boy.
“I couldn’t see the dad or the daughter because of the darkness, at first.”
She continued, “She had pulled the little girl’s body over towards her, like towards the boy, and she was trying to do both [CPR] at the same time.
“She was like, ‘Please, don’t stop. They’re alive. They’re alive,’ but they were already all dead.
“I was in shock for a good hour.
“I think I cried for like an hour, and I was just shaking, and I came inside the house.
“I think I was up ’till like 3 o’clock in the morning because I was there looking at everything and wondering how this happened because this has never happened here.”
The incident is still under investigation.
