One of the people responsible for the debacle at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, has been terminated.
Architect of the Capitol Brett Blanton has been fired.
Blanton worked remotely on the day of the riot because I guess he had more important things to do than to ensure the Capitol remained secure with tens of thousands of people in town for a rally.

Blanton recently faced an Inspector Genera’s investigation and it did not work out well for him.
We found out that he was allowing family members to use his company vehicle that is rigged with all kinds of security gear.
He also impersonated a law enforcement officer.
As noted above, the final nail in the coffin was the fact that he decided to work remotely on the day of the riot.
While appearing before a House Committee, he basically sat their dumbfounded and refused to offer up any context or really defend himself.
House Speaker McCarthy (R-CA) stated, “The Architect of the Capitol, Brett Blanton, no longer has my confidence to continue in his job.
“He should resign or President Biden should remove him immediately.”
Blanton chose not to resign, so Biden unceremoniously fired him.
