There are few past and present members of Congress that I actually trust.
Trey Gowdy, the former Representative for South Carolina, would be one of them.
He is a true justice warrior, so I have been anxiously awaiting his take on this week’s events, and he surprised me a bit.
Beware
I would not have been surprised if Gowdy told everyone to pump the brakes and allow this to all play out.
That, however, was far from his response.
In part, he stated, “Politics ruins whatever it touches. Religion, education, sports and our justice system. … We focus on the law because we’re a nation of laws. No one is above the law. But no one is beneath it either.
“Consistency, fairness, impartiality, equality, those words should mean something and the best way to prove their meaning is by applying them equal to friend and foe.
“Lady Justice, after all, is blindfolded for a reason.
“The competing reality we confront is the past six years of watching the Department of Justice and the FBI, those once venerable institutions, are now seen as mere extensions of the political parties.”

Everything he said is right… as the DOJ is now clearly an arm of the Democrat Party.
When you have actual video of the son of a current White House occupant doing drugs, meeting with hookers, emails clearly showing his father knew about his business deals while still in office, and there is no investigation, yet you raid Trump’s house when he was cooperating only three months before an election, yeah, I would say the DOJ has been tainted.
