Her life had only just begun.
It was snuffed out because the city of Chicago has turned into a warzone due to the lax policies of its Democrat mayor, Lori Lightfoot.
A five-month-old little girl is dead… but don’t expect the White House or Democrat leadership to shed a tear.
When You Go Soft on Crime…
Only one thing happens when you look for fewer ways to put the bad guys in jail.
They become more emboldened.
Chicago is atop the most violent cities in this country, and the only place the finger needs to be pointed is the endless stream of Democrat mayors that have run the city for decades.
Lori Lightfoot has taken things to the next level, however.
The death of Cecilia Thomas is a perfect example of that.
Cecilia was sitting inside a vehicle when a second car approached and opened fire.
The toddler was struck in the head, transported to a hospital, and later pronounced dead.
Police believe the shooter was a female, but they have not yet released any identifying features of the woman.
They are currently checking surveillance videos in the hopes of getting her picture out in the public to help identify her.
Andrew Holmes, a community activist, stated, “You just took this baby’s life.
“This baby was an infant, this baby didn’t do nothing to you.
“We understand it may have been two cars shooting back and forth at each other.”
He continued, “We’re not going to stand for this in this city.
“We need this city to do what we got to do to put eyes on this young lady, on this driver until both of them have been arrested because this is disgusting, this is a disgrace, this is as low as you can get.”
While our city streets are being set ablaze over abortion rights, nary a tear will be shed for this little girl on the left because they care more about killing babies than they do about keeping them alive.
