If I say the name Brett Tuggle, unless you are a hard-core music fan, you may not know who he is.
If I start rattling off Steppenwolf, Rick Springfield, The David Lee Roth Band, and Fleetwood Mac, the lightbulb starts to go on.
Brett Tuggle, who played for all those bands, has passed away.
Tuggle’s son announced his death, stating that his father had succumbed to a years-long battle with cancer.
Tuggle was 70 years old.
Legendary Bands
Tuggle did not just play for any band but was part of some of the most iconic bands of the time.
“Born to be Wild,” “Jessie’s Girl,” and “Just Like Paradise” were only a few of the hits produced by bands that Tuggle played for before joining Fleetwood Mac in round two.
He joined the band around 1997-98 when it put together a new project, as he explains in the video below…
Stevie Nicks eventually fired Tuggle over a question of allegiance to her band and another guitarist that had been fired from the band.
Tributes are still coming on social media, with Rick Springfield being among the first to offer condolences…
