A piece of one of the more iconic rock bands of the 1980s has passed away.
Alec John Such, who was the original bassist for Bon Jovi, has passed away.
He was 70 years old.
Time Catching Up
It is tough to see icons from our youth pass away, as it only seems to hint that Father Time will be coming for us all soon enough.
Alec was the original bassist of Bon Jovi, a band that literally made girls purr like felines when they took the stage.
After his passing was announced, Bon Jovi posted, “We are heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of our dear friend Alec John Such.
“He was an original.
“As a founding member of Bon Jovi, Alec was integral to the formation of the band. … To be honest, we found our way to each other thru him — He was a childhood friend of Tico [Torres] and brought Richie [Sambora] to see us perform.
“Alec was always wild and full of life.
“Today these special memories bring a smile to my face and a tear to my eye. We will miss him dearly.”
