Let’s take a little trip back to last September when school board meetings looked like the WWE.
National School Boards Association (NBSA) wrote a letter to the Biden administration hoping it could help them crackdown on the upset parents that were attending the meetings.
Not long after, a memo was sent from the DOJ to the FBI regarding the meetings.
There were rumors that the FBI was using terrorist monitoring tools to investigate and track parents.
That rumor was denied, but a whistleblower says different.
Did He Lie
This subject was broached when Attorney General Merrick Garland was on the Hill for congressional hearings.
At the time, he stated, “I can’t imagine any circumstance in which the Patriot Act would be used in the circumstances of parents complaining about their children, nor can I imagine a circumstance where they would be labeled as domestic terrorism.”
Well, Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Mike Johnson (R-LA) have a whistleblower that says that is all malarky.
In a joint statement, they said, “This whistleblower information raises serious concerns that your October 4 memorandum will chill protected First Amendment activity as parents will rightfully fear that their passionate advocacy for their children could result in a visit from federal law enforcement.”
If the statement by the whistleblower is proven to be true, it would mean that Garland lied, under oath, to Congress.
He is already on the list of officials that Republicans want to impeach once they take over Congress, so this could cement his departure next January.
