It was only about a month ago that conservatives were dreaming of owning Congress again.

Now, however, it appears as though we are going to have to be happy with simply turning Biden into a lame duck by taking the House.

Senate Minority Leader McConnell (R-KY) broke the bad news this week.

Not Happening

I have never seen someone so happy when he is about to have his tail handed to him.

McConnell will take this loss because he warned about this very scenario in April.

At the time, he stated, “In the Senate, if you look at where we have to compete in order to get into a majority, there are places that are competitive in the general election.

“So, you can’t nominate somebody who’s just sort of unacceptable to a broader group of people and win. We had that experience in 2010 and 2012.”

When Trump started to rattle off primary endorsements, McConnell warned that Trump’s priority was candidates that supported the idea he won the 2020 election.

As we are now seeing, the problem is that some of these candidates are not attractive in a general election.

Of Trump’s high-profile new candidates, only one is winning polling right now, and that would be JD Vance.

McConnell has his finger ready to point directly at Trump.

He stated, “I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate.

“Senate races are just different. They’re statewide. Candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome.”

Even if we get the House, Democrats can continue to do damage in the Senate by pushing through judiciary appointments.

Knowing legislation is dead, that is all Schumer would be focusing on at that point.

I guess Biden will push through as many judges as he can while the House investigates Hunter Biden, his business dealings, Secretary Mayorkas, and Attorney General Merrick Garland.

That is more or less what the next two years will look like.
