We have yet another military disaster that is taking place on Biden’s watch.
According to new reports, U.S. troops that were stationed in Niger have been ordered to leave.
This will go down as another foreign policy-national security disaster for Biden.
Here We Go Again
Niger is not necessarily an area that a lot of Americans pay attention to, but it is a strategic posting for our troops.
Our country conducts significant counter-terrorism from this base of operations, all of which are going to come to a halt thanks to Biden’s failings.
This Niger junta had told the Biden administration that it wanted U.S. troops removed, but the request had pretty much been ignored.
Now that Niger is pushing the issue, it is being reported that troop withdrawal plans in the area are already underway.
The timing of this could not be worse, as FBI Director Wray was recently on the Hill to tell Congress about the growing concerns of a terror strike on our homeland.
Rep. Matt. Gaetz (R-FL) slammed Biden over this.
The controversial Republican stated, “Our troops are currently sitting on a powder keg caused by political indecision at the top of the Department of State and Department of Defense.
“With a military junta in charge — who detests our presence and considers us unserious and predatory — the situation seems to be setting the groundwork for catastrophic diplomatic collapse like we saw during the 2012 Benghazi attack.”
Biden is reportedly still hoping to keep a small force in place to continue those counter-terrorism activities, but most experts believe that will never happen with the current temperature in Niger.
So, just another foreign policy and national security failure for Joe Biden.
