You bring up Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), and you get a mix of responses.
Everyone respects his service to this country as a Navy SEAL.
However, when it comes to his politics, I often hear John McCain mentioned, which is not exactly a compliment for Crenshaw.
Those cries are about to get louder from Trump supporters.
Crazy!
A few members of the GOP are now calling for the FBI to be defunded.
Even I have not gone that far, instead suggesting a purge and possible rebranding to get the public behind the agency again.
Believe it or not, other than going after former presidents and GOP members, the FBI does a lot of outstanding work, and it still has a lot of amazing agents.
Still, the rogue members of the agency are getting all the attention right now.
To that point, Crenshaw stated, “It makes us seem like extremist Democrats, right?
“And so Marjorie and AOC can go join the defund the law enforcement club if they want.
“Ninety-nine percent of Republicans are not on that train.”
He later added, “The criticisms that we’re leveling against the FBI and DOJ are fully warranted.
“It is not those criticisms that lead to a crazy person attacking an FBI.”
So, Dan, let’s get the ball rolling on this as soon as possible.
The moment the GOP takes back the House, stand up and get some sub-committees rolling to fully investigate the FBI and hold people like Wray accountable.
Put up or shut up, Dan, because we are tired of this massive boot being on our throat.
