Whenever this country has massive legislation, we know there will be scandals associated with it.
The COVID relief money was no different, with billions being stolen from the American taxpayer.
Laura Ingraham did a deep dive into it this week, and boy did she uncover some tasty tidbits.
Fraud, Theft, and Personal Gain
First and foremost, before we get into the actual funds, look at how many people associated with our government massively improved their personal wealth.
Two names are the top of that list.
First, Paul and Nancy Pelosi.
The stock trades made by Pelosi over the last two years are very suspect.
They made more in one afternoon than most of us will make in our lifetimes.
Next up is Dr. Anthony Fauci, who reportedly made about $5 million during the pandemic.
He is another person that we need to do a deep dive into.
As far as fraud, well, a nice portion of that took place within our own government.
For instance, 400 employees in the Department of Homeland Security collected pandemic unemployment benefits even though they were working.
It is estimated that roughly 10 percent of the PPP program was lost to fraud, which the official in charge of oversight (who obviously did not do a very good job) called the biggest fraud in a generation.
This administration and the last administration are to be faulted for this, as there were virtually no safeguards ever put in place to ensure this did not happen.

You know how we stop this? It is a pretty easy solution, actually.
You create a website with 100 percent transparency on all spending in our government.
Every penny that comes in and goes out is documented on the site, with where it was supposed to be spent and where it was actually spent.
That will never happen, however, because our government is corrupt.
These problems have been around forever and they have no intention of ever fixing them.
