Over the last few weeks, Black Lives Matter has been livid over several Biden appointees.
Among those was Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
Garcetti was up for several different roles in Biden’s administration, but he has bowed out on his own.
Garcetti has several issues on his plate right now, most prominently that his daughter has tested positive for COVID-19.
Additionally, his city is seeing a major surge even though residents have been in a virtual lockdown for months.
Garcetti stated, “There were things on the table for me but I said to (the Biden administration) very clearly … I need to be here now.”
It should be noted that even though BLM did not support Garcetti, his replacement for one role he was being considered for, Secretary of Transportation, has been filled by Pete Buttigieg.
BLM hates Buttigieg about as much as it does Garcetti, so don’t expect the rhetoric to get dialed down at all.
