Democrats are taking one on the chin courtesy of the state of Delaware.
On Friday, the Delaware Supreme Court ruled that new election rules passed by the Democrat-dominated state legislature were, wait for it, unconstitutional.
The thing here is that the Dems knew they were illegal and moved forward with them anyway.
Just Follow the Rules
Cue the Democrat outrage on this one, but they knowingly broke the rules.
The state constitution clearly calls for an amendment to change voting laws.
Democrats could not get the two-thirds majority they needed, so they tried to be slick and pass a new law instead.
The law was blocked via a lawsuit and now it is exactly what we thought it was… illegal.
Jane Brady, state GOP chair and former attorney general, celebrated the decision, saying she was “very pleased that the court upheld the language of the constitution.
“This is a win for the rule of law.”
She continued, “Anyone who has voted in a general election in the past can vote the same way they always have, because there have been zero general elections held since those laws were passed, and they’ve never had any impact on a voter’s conduct.
“The court’s ruling essentially maintains the status quo and the same laws that have always been in effect are in effect on November 8.”
