We are starting the day with a little Republican corruption.

Tennessee state Rep. Glen Casada, 63, of Franklin, Tennessee, and his former chief of staff Cade Cothren, 35, of Nashville, have some serious legal problems.

Both were arrested by the FBI this week and indicted.

Running a Scam

They had to know this was coming.

Casada’s home had already been raided once by the FBI prior to this arrest.

The state Rep. has been accused of running a mailing scam, basically selling influence and lining his pockets in the process.

The 20-count indictment is for “conspiracy to commit theft from programs receiving federal funds; bribery and kickbacks concerning programs receiving federal funds; honest services wire fraud; and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

“The indictment also charges Casada and Cothren with using a fictitious name to carry out fraud; theft concerning programs receiving federal funds; eight counts of money laundering; six counts of honest services wire fraud; and two counts of bribery and kickbacks.”

If convicted, both could be going to jail for 20 years.

Now, you guys know I fully support rooting out and prosecuting any and all political corruption, so these guys are getting what they deserve.

What I want to know is when the FBI will turn out an arrest on the left side of the aisle, or is that political corruption department shut down now with Merrick Garland in charge?

With a laptop, videos, and email evidence, how about maybe at least a misdemeanor ticket or something against Hunter Biden.

Maybe start investigating that mailer scam that Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) has been running for years.

Give us a taste of a level playing field here… that is all we are asking.
