Joe Biden really cannot help himself.
The man cannot help but lie when he gets a microphone in his face.
This lie, however, was completely senseless and blatant pandering.
WRONG!
Biden was in Puerto Rico handing out cash for recovery efforts.
Biden claimed that he was “raised politically” by Puerto Ricans, claiming an abnormally high ratio of Puerto Ricans in his home state of Florida.
That is about as far from the truth as it gets.
You can see the shock on Jill Biden’s face when he said it, and she could not believe he just put that out there.
When Joe Biden was first coming up, only about 2,000 Puerto Ricans lived in Delaware at the time, which is less than one-half of one percent of the population during those years.
Biden first joined the Senate in 1972.
The most recent census for that time would have been the 1970 census, showing 2,154 Puerto Ricans in the state, or 0.39 percent of the population.
By 1980, that population had grown to 4,857, or 0.81 percent of the population.
In Joe Biden’s memoir, there is not a single mention, not one, of the Puerto Rican community.
The White House could not cite any examples of what Biden was referring to.
Perhaps it is in those secret Senate papers that nobody is allowed to view until two years after Joe leaves office for the final time.
Biden loves to lie, that is what he does, but he has not really been called out on it since taking office.
Ironically, his lying and plagiarism derailed a previous presidential campaign.
The man is simply incapable of telling the truth.
