It is going to take two more years, but we are finally going to be rid of Ronna McDaniel.
After winning yet another term, even though she has led the party to ruination as the RNC Chair, McDaniel announced that this will be her last term in office.
Ironically, she hinted that the only reason she stayed on was because it would be too hard for someone else to come in less than two years from a primary election.
Get Out
We all wanted change during this past election, and we did not get it.
McConnell, McCarthy, and McDaniel all got re-elected by the slugs that are supposed to represent us in Congress.
McDaniel has clearly been paying attention to social media, though.
She knows we want change and to her credit, she is going to step down after this term.
She stated, “This is my last term as chair. I’m saying it on Fox News. It’s done.”
McDaniel added, “I know how hard it is to ramp up with a new chair. I wanted to keep that consistency.
“We’ve made a lot of changes in my tenure with voter registration, and minority outreach.
“The things that we’ve done have been historic.
“We need to continue that and do that in this next election.
“And then I’m happily going to pass the gavel to somebody else.”
Minority outreach is the one area where I will give her credit in terms of helping the party, but every other area was a mess, especially when you consider how bad the Democrat Party was reeling in 2022 and still came away with a win.
I know it’s early and I hate to be negative, but I have a really bad feeling about 2024 right now. I hope it goes away.
