It looks like the days of Sam Brinton being able to claim he is a member of the Biden administration are about to come to an end.
Brinton, who was charged in October for stealing someone’s luggage from the airport, has been charged again.
This time, the alleged theft occurred in Las Vegas.
One Strike, Two Strikes…
The first strike against Brinton was during a theft caught on video on September 16 at Minneapolis-St Paul Airport.
Brinton blamed the theft on being tired, but his actions looked pretty purposeful to me.
He removed a $2,325 suitcase from the carousel, removed the name tags, then bolted for the front door to catch an Uber.
He is due to appear in court later this month for that case.
A second case has now surfaced from Las Vegas, where Brinton has been charged with stealing an item valued between $1,200 and $5,000 by Las Vegas prosecutors.
After the first charges were announced, the Department of Energy stated, “Sam Brinton is on leave from DOE, and Dr. Kim Petry is performing the duties of deputy assistant secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition.”
However, it was never made clear if Brinton would be terminated.
GOP officials have demanded his termination, something we would imagine is all but a certainty after the second charges have been filed.
