If we are to believe the report in Jared Kushner’s new book, “Breaking History: A White House Memoir,” John Kelly was nothing more than a bully.
Kelly, who served as Trump’s second Chief of Staff, reportedly shoved Ivanka Trump in a fit of rage.
Kelly has denied the account.
Bully
Kushner writes, “One day he had just marched out of a contentious meeting in the Oval Office.
“Ivanka was walking down the main hallway of the West Wing when she passed him.
“Unaware of his heated state of mind, she said, ‘Hello, chief.’
“Kelly shoved her out of the way and stormed by.
“She wasn’t hurt, and didn’t make a big deal about the altercation, but in his rage Kelly had shown his true character.”
Kushner goes on to say that Kelly went to her office hours later to offer a “meek apology.”
Kelly responded, “It is inconceivable that I would EVER shove a woman.
“Inconceivable. Never happen. Would never intentionally do something like that.
“Also, don’t remember ever apologizing to her for something I didn’t do. I’d remember that.”
Kushner, however, claims there was a witness to the apology, Julie Radford, Ivanka Trump’s chief of staff.”
Ivanka Trump has backed up her husband’s account, as we should suspect she would do.
