If Kari Lake somehow comes back in her election, which now seems unlikely, she is going to have a controversy right out of the gate.
Just prior to election day, Lake reported that an envelope with a mysterious white substance had been opened at her campaign offices.
She further stated that one employee had been exposed, and the envelope had been confiscated for testing.
The tests are back… and the results are not good for Lake.
Did They Make It Up?
After the test results were returned, the Phoenix PD reported, “The state lab tested the items turned over to them regarding incident #2022-1665892 and has determined there was no substance inside.”
The key element to that is “no substance inside.”
There are now whispers that Lake made the entire incident up to kill headlines regarding the Hobbs campaign HQ break-in.
There was a thought when the Hobbs break-in took place that it could get her some last-minute “sympathy” votes.
I am not accusing Lake of anything here, but I am saying this is not a good look for her campaign, especially if she comes back to win this race.
About 93 percent of the vote has been counted and she still trails Hobbs by about 25,000 votes.
Unless she dominates the next batch, it is hard to imagine this race not being called in Hobbs’ favor soon.
