The FBI is getting rocked by negative reports this week.
As if the agency did not have enough problems already, new reports are breaking regarding Timothy Thibault.
This was the agent tapped as the lead to manage whistleblower Tony Bobulinski.
Hiding Evidence
When Bobulinski first came forward, everyone in the media except for the New York Post and Fox News disregarded his statements as a Trump operative.
As it turns out, the FBI apparently already had the statements and chose to sit on them rather than call Bobulinski as a star witness to go after Hunter Biden.
Now, this is a former Naval officer who the FBI had no reason to doubt at the time.
It would seem the only reason the FBI sat on the information was to protect Joe Biden during the 2020 election.
Bobulinski had provided the FBI with three cell phones containing encrypted messages that, if they are authentic, would prove that Joe Biden was the “big guy” in emails.
This would be the person that was noted as getting a cut of Hunter Biden’s business deals.
It would also show that Joe Biden was well-informed of Hunter Biden’s business dealings.
Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is now demanding answers from FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland on this matter.
He wrote, “In October 2020, an avenue of additional derogatory Hunter Biden reporting was ordered closed at the direction of ASAC Thibault.
“It’s been alleged that the FBI HQ team suggested to the FBI agents that the information was at risk of disinformation; however, according to allegations, [it] was either verified or verifiable via criminal search warrants … Thibault allegedly ordered the matter closed without providing a valid reason, as required by FBI guidelines [and] it’s alleged that FBI officials, including ASAC Thibault, subsequently attempted to improperly mark the matter in FBI systems so that it could not be opened in the future.”
Thibault has denied the allegations, but he was walked from the FBI recently.
It may take a minute to get any real action on this simply because the GOP does not control Congress at this point.
However, if they can at least take back the House in the 2022 cycle, they will finally have the power to run investigations and do a true deep dive into this investigation.
