Lone Holdout in Clancy Trial Speaks: 'Put the Focus on the Three Angels"

Michael Desronvil, the lone juror whose vote led to a mistrial in the murder case against former Massachusetts nurse Lindsay Clancy, made his most direct public remarks yet in a video statement that aired exclusively on Fox News’ “Hannity” Monday evening.

Desronvil defied the 11 other jurors by maintaining that Clancy was guilty of murder before the mistrial was declared earlier this month.

“I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels,” he said, naming Cora, Dawson and Callan.

He also thanked God for his Catholic faith and thanked his supporters. Fox News reports he is staying at an undisclosed location.

Several other jurors have accused him of wanting a guilty verdict despite harboring his own reasonable doubts.

Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, has called him “the obstructionist juror” and asked the court to investigate.

Desronvil’s attorney, Edward Paltzik, told Fox News that “Michael has zero doubt.”

Addressing a local report of prior domestic violence allegations against his client, Paltzik said: “Every single allegation against Michael is false, fabricated, never happened, categorically false.”

Clancy returns to court Tuesday for a status conference, where prosecutors are expected to update their plans for a new trial.
