The man that was once a rising star in the Democrat Party has officially hit rock bottom.
Andrew Gillum, who gave Ron DeSantis all he could handle in 2018, has been indicted on more than a dozen charges.
Gillum lost the 2018 election by only 0.4 percent (32,463 votes).
Dodged a Bullet
On Wednesday, the Justice Department announced that Gillum is facing a conspiracy charge and 19 counts of wire fraud.
The former mayor of Tennessee was indicted alongside Sharon Janet Lettman-Hicks.
The DOJ press release on the indictment stated, “The Indictment further alleges the defendants used third parties to divert a portion of those funds to a company owned by Lettman-Hicks, who then fraudulently provided the funds, disguised as payroll payments, to Gillum for his personal use.”
Gillum has also been charged with lying to the FBI.
Gillum has denied any wrongdoing, stating, “I have spent the last 20 years of my life in public service and continue to fight for the people.
“Every campaign I’ve run has been done with integrity.
“Make no mistake that this case is not legal, it is political.”
Keep in mind, this is the same man that was found unresponsive by police in a hotel room in Miami with two other men and what was believed to have been crystal methamphetamine.
You will have your day in court, sir, and if you are wrong, you are going to jail.
