I heard someone say, “wow, this was a tame weekend in Chicago.”
They were referring to the fact there were “only” 35 shootings over the course of the weekend.
Unfortunately for those that were shot, the shooters were a bit more accurate than usual, with almost 25 percent of the shootings resulting in deaths.
That total could go up, as several victims are listed in critical condition.
Blood in the Streets
I cannot shake it… “only” 35 shootings.
Nobody is laughing about eight people being killed, even if most of them were more than likely in gang or drug-related shootings.
Do you realize that Chicago will probably outpace the UK in total murders for the entire year?
That is how violent the city has become.
If you combine the major Democrat cities in this country for a single recent year, they outpace the entire number of casualties our country suffered during the war in Afghanistan.
In fact, you only need about five or six of them to do that, yet nobody wants to talk about how Democrats are making this country less safe with their policies.
How is Lori Lightfoot still in office?
There have been 439 murders in Chicago as of August 28, on pace to exceed last year’s numbers.
Keep pulling the handle for Democrats… but please do not complain to us about the problems your city is having with violent crime.
You put these people into office… and elections have consequences.
