If you are a country music fan, we are all at a loss.
Luke Bell, the 32-year-old rising star, is dead.
His body was found on Monday after being reported missing on August 20.
Sad Day for Music
Bell was a truly unique star.
In a day and age where “stars” are nothing more than knock-off artists, Bell truly had his own voice…
That unique sound led to collaborations with the likes of Alabama Shakes, Margo Price, Langhorne Slim, Willie Nelson, and Dwight Yoakam, to name a few.
Bell’s eponymous 2016 album shined a light on this young man that elevated him to nationwide recognition.
Just as he was making his rise in the industry, he stated, “To be honest, I live in the day, and I count smiles.
“That’s it. Listen, half the time, I end up drinking beer with my neighbors. Life’s not that bad.”
Bell had no problem earning his stripes in the business, playing local honky-tonks in Texas, then New Orleans, eventually going to Nashville, where his star truly shined.
Bell has previously been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and fellow singer and friend Matt Kinman stated that doctors had recently changed his medication.
Kinman further added that he believed the new medications might have “played a role” in his disappearance.
Tributes are still pouring in online, as the industry and fans realize we lost a really good one far too soon.
Rest in peace, Luke… you will be missed.
