The Pentagon sent warships and fighter jets off to the Middle East on Friday, as regional “tensions remain high.” Israel is an official ally of Uncle Sam, so we’re honoring our commitments to help defend them “from possible attacks by Iran and its proxies,” whether Joe and Kamala like it or not.
Pentagon deploys forces
The Pentagon issued a statement on Friday, August 2, announcing the deployment of “additional warships and fighter jets to the Middle East to help defend Israel from possible attacks by Iran and its proxies.”
Iran has promised to strike Israel directly in retaliation for killing a Hamas leader who was visiting Tehran on business. We know for sure that Ismail Haniyeh is dead but it’s not exactly clear who did him in or exactly how it was done.
Whether we like it or not, the U.S. has already been dragged into what’s looking a lot like World War III. Along with the deployment of more ships and planes, our missile defense forces were “placed on a state of increased readiness to deploy.”

There’s no doubt about it, a Pentagon spokesperson confirmed, our “commitment to defend Israel” is “ironclad.”
Ayatollah Khamenei has been jumping up and down, cursing incessantly in Arabic. He promises “harsh punishment” against Israel for the assassination. Iran is officially in “three days of national mourning.” Initial reports blamed an airstrike. Then, news broke of a bomb that had been planted well in advance.
Even if it was a Mossad operation, that would require help from inside the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Iran debunked that with a report claiming a “projectile” was used. They claim it came from close enough that it would also require inside help from the IRGC but doesn’t sound as bad. The Pentagon is happy to accept whatever “official” story prevails. Nobody on our side is shedding any tears for Haniyeh.
Direct in our messaging
The deceased terrorist “was widely considered Hamas’s overall leader and played a key role in negotiations aimed at reaching a ceasefire in the Gaza war.” Looks like there will be some more battlefield promotions in Gaza. Hezbollah is looking for a new top commander in Lebanon, as well.
Israel claims full responsibility for taking out Fuad Shukr. That’s why the Pentagon threw a line into their statement noting the new deployments will ensure that we’re “prepared to respond to various contingencies.”
We already began strengthening our defenses back in April, before “Iran launched an attack on Israel with drones and missiles” which everyone knew was coming. These fresh deployments “would include additional ballistic missile defense-capable cruisers and destroyers.”

Even though things appear to be ramping up pretty quickly in the Mid-East, Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh isn’t convinced that it will escalate all the way up to global conflict, as predicted.
“I think we are being very direct in our messaging that certainly we don’t want to see heightened tensions and we do believe there is an off-ramp here,” Singh told the press. The Pentagon’s hoped for “off-ramp” is a ceasefire deal. That went out the window when Kamala Harris said that Israel is being too tough on the Palestinian terrorists.
Showing discord between the two allies allegedly emboldened Hezbollah to launch the inflammatory missile strike on Golan Heights. Expecting to take out Jewish “settlers,” they took out Syrian nationals, instead. Worse, a dozen were children. That’s what happens when you target a soccer field. Trying to make up for Kamala’s miscommunication, the Pentagon is making a show of solidarity, more than force.
