There are a lot of questions being asked after every car that the Secret Service rented during the Biden vacation caught on fire.
Thankfully, this happened after the cars had been returned to the rental company.
However, that does not take away from the oddity that only the Biden cars burst into flames.
Up in Smoke
After the Biden’s left Nantucket, the cars used by Biden’s security detail were returned to Hertz and moved to an overflow lot.
On Monday, the cars all burst into flames, a situation that obviously would have been horrific had anyone been in the vehicles.
The fires also started about 40 feet from where the jet fuel supply was kept at the airport, so this could have been much worse.
The vehicles that burst into flames were a Chevy Suburban, Ford Explorer, Infiniti QX80, Ford Expedition, and a Jeep Gladiator.
The cause of the fire is being investigated, but as of yet, there has been no cause reported.
The airport stated, “At approximately 5:22 am Airport shift staff observed an active fire in the rental car overflow area through the Airport’s Closed Circuit Television System.
“Staff activated the Alert system and responded to the fire in Airport-3, where they were met by responding units from Nantucket Fire Department and Nantucket Police Department.
“Combined fire resources responded and contained the fire. Several vehicles were damaged.
“The Airport is currently coordinating with rental car agencies and agency partners to ensure scene safety.
“There is no longer an active fire at this time: the Airport is open, and aeronautical operations are not affected.”
So, we all know where this is going, right?
Was this just a coincidence or was this some nefarious act that had bad timing?
I cannot get over the fact that only the Biden cars caught fire, so you can surely see why my ears are up here.
I am very much looking forward to the investigation’s results.
