Joe Biden’s climate agenda just took another major blow.
Climate adviser Gina McCarthy is stepping down, according to reports.
The spin on her exit is already taking place by the White House.
See Ya!
This position was created for McCarthy, as she was supposed to lead Biden’s climate agenda along with John Kerry.
Most would agree that Biden’s climate agenda has crashed and burned, just as everything else has done during this administration.
We saw no reports of a planned exit by McCarthy, but now that this report is surfacing, the spin is already starting that she was only supposed to be in the position for about a year.
Sources told Reuters that McCarthy could be leaving as soon as next month.
McCarthy, however, is denying the reports that she “has” resigned.
Notice in the tweet below, she does not commit as to how long she will be staying…
Reports that I have resigned from my position as President Biden's National Climate Advisor are simply inaccurate. We’ve made great progress these past 14 months, but we have much more work to do — and I remain excited about the opportunities ahead.

As were many of Biden’s staffers, McCarthy was part of the Obama administration as the EPA boss.
And, like many staffers in this administration, she now appears to be ready to bail to save her own reputation as this administration crashes and burns.
