Ukrainian President Zelensky made an announcement early Tuesday that stunned the world.

Zelensky offered Russian officers and troops an opportunity to surrender to his forces and end this war right now.

According to Zelensky, even though Russia is only miles outside of Kyiv and bombarding the city, Ukraine will prevail.

Surrender Now

Today is the 19th day of fighting in a war that most people thought would be over in days.

Even though Russia continues to advance, it is losing far more troops than Ukraine.

At last count, Ukraine was killing Russians at a ratio of almost 10:1, and that is not counting the thousands of Russian troops that have surrendered or simply quit fighting.

Zelensky clearly knows the situation is dire, but he is doing his best to keep morale up and his troops fighting hard, and they are responding.

To that point, his latest announcement will surely have Ukrainians pounding their chest, daring Russians to come into their city.

He stated, “The 19th day of our resistance is over. Historical war.

“Another difficult day, which is still approaching our victory. Approaching peace for Ukraine.”

Zelensky claimed Russian troops are “confused” at the stiff resistance they have faced over the last three weeks of fighting.

He stated, “Their soldiers know this. Their officers are aware of this.

“They flee the battlefield. They abandon equipment.”

“We take trophies and use them to protect Ukraine.

“Today, Russian troops are, in fact, one of the suppliers of equipment to our army. They could not imagine such a thing in a nightmare.”

Then he really dropped the bombshell.

The bold president stated, “Russian conscripts! Listen to me very carefully.

“Russian officers! You’ve already understood everything. You will not take anything from Ukraine. You will take lives. There are a lot of you.

“But your life will also be taken. But why should you die? What for? I know that you want to survive.

“Therefore, I offer you a choice. On behalf of the Ukrainian people, I give you a chance. Chance to survive.

“If you surrender to our forces, we will treat you the way people are supposed to be treated. As people, decently. In a way you were not treated in your army. And in a way your army does not treat ours. Choose!”

Talks between the two countries continue, but no agreement has been reached as of yet.

At last report, Russia was about 20 miles outside of Kyiv, but the city saw some of the worst bombing it has seen throughout Monday.

Ukraine is not giving up, but it could be a matter of how much longer their supplies last that dictates how much longer this war goes on.

Zelensky has been begging allies for more equipment and supplies, but the response has been a bit slow for his liking and putting his ultimate mission at risk.
