Early Sunday morning, a woman’s car came under gunfire while stopped at an intersection.

She had her two children in the car, ages five and eight.

Sadly, the five-year-old little girl was killed.

The eight-year-old was wounded and has been hospitalized.

Crazy Times

The shooting reportedly occurred around 1:00 a.m. Sunday at the 13300 block of Northborough Drive in Houston.

After the car was hit, the woman “left the location immediately once she realized her children were shot and immediately took them to the hospital.”

Houston Police Assistant Chief Chandra Hatcher stated, “It is unclear if the complainants were the intended targets of the shooting or if there was something else going on in this area at the time.

“We do not know a motive.

“We do not have suspect descriptions other than potentially two Black males in a dark-colored vehicle.

“We are looking for surveillance footage out here and are gathering evidence.”

Houston police are asking anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact the Houston Police Department at 713-308-3600 or crime stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
