New York prosecutors are going after Steve Bannon for something Trump has already pardoned him.

Prosecutors are building a case against Bannon to indict him for charges related to the “We Build the Wall” federal case.

Bannon surrendered himself to authorities on Thursday.

Not Guilty?

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg handed down the six-count indictment.

He has been charged with money laundering, conspiracy and scheming to defraud for his alleged role in We Build the Wall.

The group reportedly raised more than $15 million, but they allegedly skimmed off the top.

Bannon allegedly pocketed $1 million from the fundraising effort.

Bragg stated, “It is a crime to turn a profit by lying to donors, and in New York, you will be held accountable.

“As alleged, Stephen Bannon acted as the architect of a multi-million dollar scheme to defraud thousands of donors across the country — including hundreds of Manhattan residents.”

Because this is a state-run case, the presidential pardon holds no weight.

Bannon pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He also stated, “This is what happens in the last days of a dying regime.

“They will never shut me up, they’ll have to kill me first.

“I have not yet begun to fight.”

Bannon further stated that this was nothing more than a political ploy.

He stated, “This an irony, on the very day the mayor of this city has a delegation down on the border, they are persecuting people here, that try to stop them at the border.

“This is all about 60 days from the day,” meaning 60 days from the general election in November.

Bannon is facing a minimum sentence of 30 days in jail for previously having been found guilty of contempt of Congress.

That sentence will be issued in October.
