Recently, even with an exodus the likes the Seattle Police has never seen before, the City Council cut the budget even further.
Police simply feel as though they have no security, so they are leaving.
In fact, it is estimated that 200 officers could exit the department by the end of the year.
This would put staffing at 1990s level, even though the city has increased its population by 44 percent since then.
Seattle Police Officers Guild President Mike Solan issued a warning that everyone needs to hear.
He stated, “Well, clearly this is the result of the city council conducting activism via their governance, listening to the loud, socialist mob that is calling for more reform by taking away budgeted money for public safety, which, to me, is unfortunate. Because regardless of your politics…this is everybody’s public safety on the line as far as being negative.”
“It’s not just going to impact Seattle, as we are the experiment towards socialism, in terms of removing funds for law enforcement purposes and public safety, but this is going to spread across the nation, as we’ve already seen it happen.”
