That was more or less the message that the Biden administration sent over to DC Mayor Muriel Bowser.
Bowser has been begging the Pentagon for help with the illegal immigrants that Governor Greg Abbott sent to Bowser, but that help will not be in the form of the National Guard.

Bowser, more or less, wants to put the Guard to work as processors, escorts, and maintenance workers for the illegal immigrants.
That is not what the Guard is trained to do, which is what the Pentagon told her.
Defense Department executive secretary Kelly Bulliner Holly responded to the request.
Holly stated, “The DCNG has no specific experience in or training for this kind of mission or unique skills for providing facility management, feeding, sanitation or ground support.
“Approval of this request would also result in a substantial readiness impact to the DCNG.
“Devoting the personnel or the facility for such an extended mission would force the cancellation or disruption of military training.”
Bowser has only had to deal with about 7,000 illegals since April, which is a busy afternoon in Texas.
Another 900 have been sent to New York by Abbott, and Mayor Adams is already whining over there.
Do you want the real reason that Bowser is being turned down?
That would be because our National Guard gets activated during times of crisis, and this administration will NEVER admit the border issue is a crisis.
So, Bowser, it looks like you are just going to have the fend for yourself.
