In a scaled-down military, our National Guard and Reserve troops can be the difference in defending this nation or getting run over.

The Army is already way below its recruitment numbers for the year with only three months left to meet its goals.

Yet, in its infinite wisdom, leadership has decided that the 60,000 Guard and Reserve troops that have not been vaccinated are going to get pay and benefits cut.

Fall in Line, or Else

If COVID were still a legitimate threat and there were no treatments, this would be a different story.

However, I think we can all agree that where we are in terms of the strength of the virus and treating it are a far different situation than in 2020 when it first hit.

The Pentagon apparently does not see it that way.

The Army stated, “Soldiers who refuse the vaccination order without an approved or pending exemption request are subject to adverse administrative actions, including flags, bars to service, and official reprimands.”

Director of the Army Guard, Lt. Gen. Jon Jensen, added, “We’re going to give every soldier every opportunity to get vaccinated and continue their military career.

“We’re not giving up on anybody until the separation paperwork is signed and completed.”

Summer is when most of these troops do their training cycle, which will not be the case if they have not taken the jab.

So, if something were to happen, these troops cannot be activated, nor are they deployable without their training hours.

And, if I am understanding Jensen’s comments correctly, these troops are on the verge of being separated from the service, leaving the military even more vulnerable than it already is.

Open borders, a woke and weakened military, and an all-out war against our Supreme Court.

Joe Biden managed to do all that in less than two years.
