Chuck Yeager, best known for being the first man to break the sound barrier, has passed away at the age of 97.
While Yeager was known for breaking the sound barrier, his career was filled with accolades.
In addition to being a decorated combat flyer, Yeager also played a prominent role in the training of NASA astronauts.
Rest in peace, sir, as you are truly a hero to the American people.
