Authorities in Poland discovered a brutal reminder of Nazi Germany.

Massive pits were found 10 feet below the ground, holding a total of 17 tons of ashes.

This is the equivalent of 8,000 bodies.

Horror Found

The discovery came at the old location of the Soldau concentration camp that was located just outside of Warsaw.

Among others, this was where elites in Poland were being kept.

There were two massive pits with the remains inside of them.

The Institute of National Remembrance stated, “It’s the evidence of how thoroughly the Germans tried to obliterate the traces of genocide they committed in Eastern Europe.

“The unburned remains were ground, so that the crime would not see the light of day and no one could be held responsible.

“The cover-up has failed because [the institute] is determined to search for the victims and heroes of WW2 and will never allow even one of them to be forgotten.”

It is believed that the bodies were initially buried whole, then later excavated and burned to cover the atrocities that the Nazis committed.

Authorities will try to use DNA from the ashes to learn more about the victims that were discovered in this mass grave.
