Donald Trump is in the midst of an unending assault to stop him from running from office again.

The latest hit comes courtesy of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, General Milley.

Milley is serving the current administration, but he also served in the same role during Trump’s administration.

The New Yorker posted a report on Monday claiming that one of the main reasons that Milley stayed on was to ensure that Trump did not invoke Martial Law to remain in power.

Is He Kidding

Milley loves to make himself out like the hero, so I have a hard time taking his comments seriously.

According to Milley, he was about to resign after he joined Trump at Lafayette Square amid all the protests.

If you recall, he immediately apologized, hinting that the military should not be used that way.

Rather than retire, he reportedly told his staff, “F*** that s***, I’ll just fight him.

“If they want to court-martial me, or put me in prison, have at it.

“But I will fight from the inside.”

The report went on to say that General Milley “envisioned a declaration of martial law or a Presidential invocation of the Insurrection Act” by Trump.

The problem with his thinking is that I do not believe a single general, regardless of how loyal, would back such a move by Trump.

Second, I don’t think Trump would be foolish enough to do such a thing.

Third, nobody in this country would accept such a move, which would result in wars in the streets between civilians and our military.

Seems to me that Milley is just looking for pats on the back so he can make a few million on his own book after he retires.
