The Clintons have reportedly been working behind the scenes to round up donors for Joe Biden. While they’ve been quietly “encouraging donors in recent weeks to continue financially supporting President Joe Biden’s campaign,” they didn’t announce any big donation of their own. It would probably be a mistake to say they aren’t donating to Joe’s campaign. They probably have an official commitment on record large enough for most folks to call it a lot of money. To the Clinton Global Initiative it’s only a drop in the Olympic size swimming pool.
Clintons holding out
While appearing to step up for their good buddy Joe Biden, the Clintons are really holding back and waiting for him to drop out. Or, drop dead, whichever comes first. Currently, there’s a head of lettuce on social media with a longer life expectancy to the bookmakers.
Other rumors say that Hillary is vying for another chance to get the turn Donald Trump “cheated” her out of, by beating her in an election she had rigged against him. Since Michelle Obama still hasn’t said he’ll do it, Grandma Hillary may need to come out of retirement.
If the Clintons were really serious about re-installing Biden in the White House, they would be making a huge, high profile donation. They should put their money where their mouth is and match Elon Musk’s Trump donation. He pledged $45 million PER MONTH. Huma Abedin recently got engaged to Alexander Soros, even though she’s still married to Anthony Weiner.

Rumors swirl that Alex is metro-sexual enough they may be keeping him around for the occasional threesome. That would make sense because Huma’s always been so close with Hillary. Despite the connections and endlessly deep pockets, Son of Soros isn’t making any big donation to Joe either.
Meanwhile, “two sources familiar” with the details relate that the Clintons are choosing to be “deferential to Biden’s decision.” One of them, who’s familiar with their thinking, added it is more accurate to say they are “deferential to the process.” They may not like the idea but Bill and Hillary make it clear to all their friends that it’s Joe’s decision.
If he doesn’t decide to drop pretty quick, the campaign will soon be bankrupt. That includes all the money for the downstream races, too. “Since the CNN debate on June 27, big-dollar donors have held back from writing checks amid growing concerns about Biden’s candidacy, raising serious concerns about how long the campaign can continue operating in full force if circumstances don’t change.”
Win without money
Neither of the sources would confirm or deny that the Clintons had a personal preference over whether Joe should or should not bow out. They’re simply waiting for Biden to wake up and smell the coffee. One of the donors, also anonymous, agrees. “I don’t know how you campaign with a broadening electoral map without money. I don’t know what they’re doing. I don’t know.”
It’s insanity in action. “I’ve never seen this strategy where you think you can win without money.” That only makes sense if Joe already has all the votes he needs. All boxed up and ready to be counted at the break of a water main.
The way the donor sees it, the campaign bank accounts can only hold out for “a few more weeks under the current circumstances.” That’s as far as it will stretch. “Anything longer would become extraordinarily difficult.”

The Clintons can only do so much and they don’t seem to be producing the results required. Even “events and fundraisers have significantly slowed in recent weeks.” According to the donor, “they seem far and few between.”
We really don’t need the Clintons, campaign officials declare. They can brag about “record-breaking grassroots fundraising.” T-Shirt sales may be through the roof but that’s not going to pay for all the TV ads it takes to sway public opinion. Especially when it needs to be swayed enough to accept Joe as the best Democrats can do.
Meanwhile, “Kamala Harris joined a call with donors amid ongoing party panic. The vice president was asked to do the call by the West Wing.” Joe’s been hiding at his Rehoboth Beach mansion, allegedly with COVID.
