How many times did Hillary Clinton and Democrats slam Trump for fighting access to records?
Well, now the shoe is on the other foot.
Hillary is the one trying to claim attorney-client privilege for documents being requested in an investigation.
No Outrage?
Even when Trump was trying to protect records, my stance was that if you have nothing to hide, let them have it.
For Trump, I don’t necessarily believe it was about hiding anything as much as a lack of trust and just making things more difficult.
Trump is a litigious man, so fighting is natural for him in this arena.
However, the media and Democrats always said he must be hiding something.
John Durham is now trying to get access to documents from Perkins Coie, the firm that worked with Hillary.
The documents are related to the work that was done by Fusion GPS.
Hillary for America (HFA) is now claiming these documents are privileged, but I am pretty sure that reasoning went out the window when all of Trump’s legal documents were turned over.
As it turns out, perhaps there was a real purpose to Trump’s fighting.
Could it be possible that he fought knowing he would lose those cases and have set a precedent that he could hold Hillary to at a late date?
Then along comes Durham dropping a massive bombshell that can refer back to the documents obtained from Trump attorneys during the Russian collusion investigation and impeachment proceedings.
Be it a stroke of genius or dumb luck, methinks Hillary is for a shocking loss here.
