American Army Staff Sargent Gordon Black made some serious errors in judgment. Just how serious he learned on Wednesday. That’s when he was sentenced by a Russian court to three years and nine months in one of their hard-labor prison camps. Whether he did what he’s accused of or not, he was found guilty of “theft and making murder threats.” Since he’s not a famous lesbian basketball star, there isn’t much U.S. officials can do for him. Antony Blinken’s State Department “reiterates its warnings about the dangers Americans face inside Russia. It added that U.S. citizens in Russia should depart immediately.”
American sentenced to Russian prison
Unlike the way it is with American justice, the Russians actually enforce their laws. They do it by imposing harsh penalties for anyone caught committing a crime. That’s why their public transit and shopping venues are all so clean and friendly.
U.S. soldiers have been slapping hookers around for as long as the hookers have been trying to rip them off. For time out of mind and all around the globe. That appears to be what happened here. Sgt. Black obviously wasn’t expecting the harsh penalty he got from a Judge in Vladivostok. He’s stuck with it now.
Along with nearly four years in a prison camp, the American soldier was ordered to “pay a 10,000 ruble fine—or roughly $113.” According to various reports, Black was arrested back in May by police in Vladivostok.

He was there as a tourist “after finishing a tour of duty in South Korea.” He meandered through China to get there.
As related by Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh, “he was not there in his official capacity as a member of the U.S. armed forces, but for what she characterized as personal reasons.” Nobody mentions the word “prostitute” but there are all sort’s of hints in the phrasing.
“While in Vladivostok, Black was visiting a woman with whom he allegedly had a relationship.” One his American wife probably didn’t know anything about. Until now.
Grabbed her by the throat
The Russian side of the story is that during his visit, Black supposedly “grabbed the woman’s neck at one point during an argument that took place at an apartment.” Apparently over the amount of charges and services rendered.
“She perceived that as a clear threat to her life. The American then allegedly stole 10,000 rubles from her wallet and used it to pay for the hotel room where authorities ultimately found and detained him.”
The Russians say Black “partially admitted to theft, but not to any assault or threat to kill.” He probably took back 113 bucks she lifted off him while he was in the bathroom.

He may have been a little overly persuasive when discussing it with her, American style, but he wasn’t about to admit to that. No matter what really happened, the official story is that he did it and now he’s toast.
U.S. Officials reiterate that Russians really do enforce their laws. Brittney Griner learned the hard way that even celebrities aren’t exempt from their tight restrictions. A little CBD oil ruined her life.
She was eventually released but she’ll be the first to tell you not to try anything cute. I didn’t know it was in my luggage won’t get the job done. Every American is officially warned that Russia is a dangerous place so travel at your own risk and try to stay out of trouble.
