Shankar Temple Grace faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into the Travis County Jail, according to the Austin Police Department.

Officers were called at about 8:54 p.m. to a disturbance at Buzz Mill Coffee on Town Creek Drive, where they found two people with stab wounds.

Austin-Travis County EMS took both to a hospital, one with life-threatening injuries and the other with injuries that were not life-threatening. Both are now in stable condition, police said.

A witness told police the attacker wore zombie makeup and a zombie costume.

Police said he fled in a pickup truck at high speed and hit an unoccupied Tesla Cybercab. Officers searching the area later found and arrested Grace on a walking trail near Rosewood and Chestnut avenues.

People at the coffee shop told police the man had caused a disturbance there before Wednesday night, but police could not provide details about any earlier incident. Detectives are still working to determine whether Grace had any relationship with the victims.
