There is a bit of a shakeup happening in the RNC.
This is a bit ironic when you consider all the rumors that have been floating around regarding the DNC as of late.
Chief of Staff Richard Walters has announced that he is resigning his position.
Moving On
Unlike the havoc we are seeing in the DNC right now, this was actually a planned move.
Walters is transitioning over to Chairman Ronna McDaniel’s senior adviser.
On the change, McDaniel stated, “The Republican Party, our committee members, our staff, and I personally owe Richard an enormous debt of gratitude.
“Richard has done an incredible job of strengthening and building our party, from record-breaking fundraising to our cutting-edge data operation and everything in between.
“I am thrilled that after nearly five years as chief of staff, Richard is staying on the team to oversee the long-term planning of the RNC, while Mike Reed will serve as the new chief of staff to help implement the party’s strategy for victory in November.”
When Walters first joined the RNC, he did so as a financial officer.
In 2017, he was promoted to Chief of Staff.
He will have his hands full helping out McDaniel, as some significant battles are brewing, even in primary races.
The RNC is going to need some big war chests heading into 2022 to match the megadonors the Democrat Party has, such as George Soros, who has already reportedly donated $125 million to Democrat coffers.
