The world was shocked today by the news of a Friday mass shooting in Montenegro.
It appears like a landlord went rogue, killing his tenants, then opened fire on people on the street.
Sadly, two children aged 11 and under were among the casualties.
The Shooting
A woman and her two young children, ages eight and 11, were all shot by the owner of the home they were renting.
The woman survived the shooting, but she succumbed to her wounds later at the hospital.
The man then left the home and opened fire on the street, killing seven more people and wounding six.
Initially it was believed that police had taken him down during the exchange, but there are now reports that it was a private citizen that killed him.
That brought the total to 11 dead overall.
One officer was also wounded during the shooting.
Montenegro’s Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic stated, “I was deeply disturbed with reports about terrible tragedy in Cetinje.
“I express my deepest condolences to those families affected and all those who lost their loved ones.”
