Athletes seem to be dropping likes flies as of late, and there is another name to add to the shocking list.
Charles Johnson, a former wideout for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and Philadelphia Eagles, is dead.
Johnson was only 50 years old.
Shocking Death
Johnson is a former first-round pick, having been drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1994 with the 17th overall pick.
While his best two seasons were played with the Steelers, it was not until 2001 as a role player that he got his ring.

The following season, he moved on to Buffalo, where he ended his career after nine seasons in the league.
Johnson was the assistant athletic director at Heritage High School in Wake Forest, NC, at the time of his death.
Johnson’s cause of death was not released.
