Democrats have been trying to get their hands on Texas for most of the last decade.
To be honest, with the influx of liberals fleeing California, they are gaining grip.
Not that much, though, as it now appears as though Governor Greg Abbott is going to trounce perennial loser, Beto O’Rourke.
Too Soon
O’Rourke has been spewing all kinds of rhetoric in an effort to get some grip and turn people against Abbott.
During the primary race, Abbott’s overall lead against Beto was, at one point, within the margin of error.
That has changed dramatically since Abbott destroyed the GOP primary field.
The latest Dallas Morning News polling now has Abbott with a seven-point lead at 46-39 percent.

That may seem a bit too close for some, but you also have to look at the voters locked into Abbott versus those locked into Beto.
Beto has only 46 percent of his supporters convinced he is the right man for the job regardless.
Abbott is now boasting a gaudy 71 percent of voters that are positive they will vote for Abbott come election day.
Beto, you lost against Ted Cruz in the Senate race, you lost against Joe Biden in the presidential race, and now you are about to be awarded the Triple Crown of Losers by losing to Greg Abbott in this governor’s race.
