President Donald Trump is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to revisit his dismissed lawsuit against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Just the News reported Saturday, citing reports published Friday.

Trump has argued that Clinton and her allies tried to destroy his 2016 campaign with claims that it colluded with Russia.

A federal judge threw the case out and ordered Trump and his former attorney, Alina Habba, to pay about $1 million in sanctions.

Trump’s lawyers now argue the suit was legitimate and that he should not have been punished, according to reporting by The Hill that Just the News relayed.

The filing is a request for review. The Just the News report describes no action by the justices.

The case has lost at every level so far. Law&Crime reported in August that the trial court dismissed it as frivolous and brought in bad faith, that a three-judge panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the appeal, and that the full appeals court declined to rehear it.

Trump’s lawyers told Justice Clarence Thomas, in seeking more time to file, that the appeals court wrongly found the claims were brought too late, and called the questions “exceptionally important,” Law&Crime reported.
